Believe It Or Not

BLEAARH... Got no motivation to continue with my school stories.

So why don't we just ponder on the following non-tremendous, non-horrendous, non-stupendous, non-hazardous facts below:

'Stewardesses' is the longest word typed with only the left hand.

And 'lollipop' is the longest word typed with your right hand.

No word in the English language rhymes with 'month', 'orange', 'silver', or 'purple'.

'Dreamt' is the only English word that ends in the letters 'mt'.

Our eyes are always the same size from birth, but our nose and ears  never stop growing.

There are only four words in the English language which end in 'dous': tremendous, horrendous, stupendous, and hazardous.

There are two words in the English language that have all five vowels in order: 'abstemious' and 'facetious.'

'TYPEWRITER' is the longest word that can be made using the letters only on one row of the keyboard.

A cat has 32 muscles in each ear.

A goldfish    has a memory span of three seconds ..

A 'jiffy' is an actual unit of time for 1/100th of a second.

A shark is the only fish that can blink with both eyes.

A snail can sleep for three years.

Almonds are a member of the peach family.

An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain.

Babies are born without kneecaps. They don't appear until the child reaches 2 to 6 years of age.

February 1865 is the only month in recorded history not to have a full moon.

In the last 4,000 years, no new animals have been domesticated.

If the population of China walked past you, 8 abreast, the line would never end because of the rate of reproduction.

However you could walk the whole 4,500 km length of the Great Wall of China in 6 months

Wow! 4500 km of hazardous and horrendous journey...tremendously stupendous determination and will power. That is nine times of walking distant, from subang to my kampung in keropoklekor land.

..which, of course, explained why men are such ostriches..more eyes than brain..:)

Hey Zee,

Oh now u r starting to pre-empt my response..kakaka. In the word of the famous AK47; “why I finger finger, you never cum!” I think I should hang around more with Dato Sak, just like your soul mate RA.

Pakmat please speak for yourself….hahaha and bury your head in the ground, cannot blame u for having more eyes than brain; u r at your full cycle of being a baby again (60+), no kneecaps therefore no need to ‘guna kepala lutut’ to think…..kekeke. Soli horr. I think coming from me it’s alright by u :))

Anyway since it’s a lovely Friday & we r on the subject of ‘believe it or not’, this raging teenage hormone of mine is crazee over this young lassie;

I don’t believe U

Have a blardy good weekend all.

Tommy

P/S – Believe it or not the Skippies r more Chinese than me now, got invite to go ‘Dim Sum, yum cha’ brekkie. My my they know to order better than me, not to mention their skill & etiquette in handling the chopstick & tiny tea cups….kakaka.

Yea Tommy

And did you know the show was abruptly cancelled because Ronald Reagan was almost assasinated by a guy who happened to have exactly the same name as the super hero?

and of course this amazing fact and fancy comes to you in Z's "Believe It or Not"

Zendra-Maria said...

.hey, tommy, I'm speaking for all those above 60..as soon you will be..:)..where the only activity is only in the eyes..and Zee did not say how many eye muscles and old cat have ..but seeing there is not much muscles elsewhere...sigh..how to climb Everest??..

Red Alfa said...

Dear Pak Mat

Another fact and fancy especially for the 60 plusses!

RasullulLah SAW made Usman RA at 60 plus the Amir of the first Islamic cavalry!

Imagine him leading cavalry charges into battles in full gallops, his right hand holding heavy spear ready and in the battle with his sword swinging overhead.

That had got my mental muscles saying go get some muscles!

Err...is there a test on this? If ada I'd be the first to do that 4500km dash!!

Wooo...such bewildering facts & figures.
