Micro-vibrators

Tickling guys' fancy (especially Uncle Lee's)

From his e-mail:

"The Shelby Mustang Cobra, 500 HP.

You don't fool around with this car!

It eats BMW's for breakfast!

Hit the pedal at 3000rpm and it'll not only loosen people's dentures 100 yards around,

but knock off bra hooks off SYT's waiting at bus stops!!!"

Tickling mine

The Power Plate.

A new way to shake off the pounds

Farah from the gym let me try this yesterday.

Stood on the machine in a squat position (like in a Maori haka) for 30 seconds and muscles contract 30 times a second, whole body I tell you!

I don't have dentures to loosen but bra hooks stayed on (well I'm not a Sweet Young Thing)!

Proceeded to do various other postions for a whole body work-out.

Ended with using it for massage.

Here's something from Time.com

According to Power Plate's manufacturers, if you stand on the machine's vibrating plates for 10 minutes a day three times a week, you will lose weight, increase bone density and improve your overall health. But is that really possible?
It might be. Unlike the old-fashioned belt exercisers that just shifted skin around, the Power Plate uses whole-body vibration, or WBV, to contract muscles 30 to 50 times per second. While you stand on the moving plates in the bent-knee position recommended for beginners, the continual vibration causes you to tense and relax your muscles to keep your balance. Even without the vibration, you would involuntarily tense and release just to hold the pose. But the WBV forces you to do so up to 50 times more. That's quite a workout for so little effort.

But to get the most out of the Power Plate, you can't just stand. The best approach is to perform the same exercises you would do on the floor—squats, tricep dips, push-ups and the like. Your muscles fatigue quicker, so the exercise routine will be shorter, but you're still not making the plates do all the work. "This is not a magic bullet that helps people lose weight without doing anything," says Cedric Bryant, chief exercise physiologist for the American Council on Exercise. "If you are a healthy individual, wbv training should be a supplement to a sensible diet and exercise program."

At RM100 per session, OUCCCH!

Hi Zendra, ha ha ha....told or hinted to my wife I want to trade in my Queen Mary size Lincoln for this Sizzling hot Mustang.
Imagine the car idling at stoplight, and SYT's in minis waiting for bus....green comes on, I depress the brake, hit the pedal....see 4000rpm, then let lose the 500 stallions....30 yards of wavy tire marks and air pollution of smoking tires, people looking up the sky think airplane lost its way...SYT's check the back of their t-shirts....

She raised not one, but two eyebrows, "you checked your birth certificate lately? You think you still 30?
That car is faster than you now"?
Hmmm, should have married a woman less humour.
Lee.
ps, and she likes Honda Civics! How to face my friends....me in my RayBans, cowboy belt and all....
okay, might hint for a Harley....

Zendra,

Keep mind rejuvenated with flashes of old dreams... driving in red hot two seaters, preferably convertible with soft top, flashing past hunks on Harleys...oooops was that Uncle Lee? Sorry I splashed last night's rain puddle on to your Canadian cowboy jacket and the SYT riding behind you!

PS/- Nowadays SYT make do without the bras...no more hooks to knock off!

Zee, FYI, it’s not call a hook, it’s actually called a clasp; I’m quite deft in…oh never mind. Now some comes in Velcro too, like ‘Veni, Vidi, Velco;’ – I came, I saw & I stick around!

Hey u guys have a great weekend. I had to put up with Britney Spears’fan. She’s performing at my house of luck tonite. Oops I did it again!.....muahaha.

Tommy.

P/S – RA, do u still go to bed in sarung & T-shirt or not? (see 3540 Jalan Sudin for details), LOL.

What is Horsepower?

,,,How do you define horsepower? Ask a car enthusiast and most of the time you'll get a blank look, a shrug of the shoulders and maybe a guess along the lines of "What a horse can do!".
,,,That answer begs the question: What horse? A thoroghbred race horse that can carry the small weight of a jockey with a lot of speed, or a working horse that can pull heavy loads albeit slowly?
,,,Obviously there is a more precise answer. Car manufacturers, despite their reputation for being creative regarding the horsepower ratings of their products for marketing reasons, require a more stable definition.

,,,Horsepower is defined as work done over time. The exact definition of one horsepower is 33,000 lb.ft./minute. Put another way, if you were to lift 33,000 pounds one foot over a period of one minute, you would have been working at the rate of one horsepower. In this case, you'd have expended one horsepower-minute of energy. (try this out at the gym !!)

,,,Even more interesting is how the definition came to be. It was originated by James Watt, (1736-1819) the inventor of the steam engine and the man whose name has been immortalized by the definition of Watt as a unit of power.
,,,The next time you complain about the landlord using only 20 watt light bulbs in the hall, you are honoring the same man.

,,,but don't fool around even with 1 Zebrapower !. yoo ya RED ?. hehehe.

Capt,

You can lead a horse or zebra to water but you can't make it drink - THAT, to me, is horse- or ZEBRA- power heheh ;)

911? Why eye-eye? Just get one lah! If no road in Kapas, you know where you can park it, free of charge! Still lot's of space available heheheh...
