5. Realize that nothing is impossible.

And remember this:
"You don't stop laughing because you grow old,
you grow old because you stop laughing!!!"

Plus Another Five Tips For EVERDAY In 2010

1. Let go.
.....of old baggage. A fresh start demands a clean slate. Let everything from the past go. Clear your plate and your palate.

2. Decide what matters most today.
Forget about your goals for all of this year. Instead, decide: what do you want to do today?

3. Clear away distractions and focus.
Clear away email and Facebook and Twitter and your favorite blogs and news websites and social forums, clear away the iPhone or Blackberry or Android or cell phone, clear away all the little nagging work and chores and errands that pull at your attention, clear away the clutter that surrounds you.

4. Find happiness now.

Happiness is possible right now. Always remember that. When you push it back until later, it’ll never come. When you learn to be happy now, it’ll always be here.

5. Reinvent yourself, every day.
Every day, you are reborn. Reinvent yourself and your life, every day. Do what matters most to you, that day. Be passionate, be happy, right now.

You’ll have a fresh start every single day!

Hahaha mamasita, I terpikir tadi that old goat no. 5 tengah dalam position membuang baggage dia jugak!

Jangan buang old goats - buat sop sedap lagi tu.

No 3 memang susah for me - suka nak menjengok rumah orang. Tapi I'm so flattered that you care to waste your precious time kat teratak buruk ni.

Bila nak datang poco2 KL?

Hey Paula, thanks for dropping by. May your 2010 be fulfilling to you and yours.

Hi Zendra, I love your blog header picture. Its beautiful. Love the pastel shades especially.
Should be nice when the moon comes up, ha ha.

Love your pics here and your thoughts.
My formula for living is quite simple. I get up in the morning and I go to bed at night.
In between, I occupy myself as best I can.

And not to fool around with 'Black forest temptress', ha ha ha.
And I don't, never make New Year resolutions as they only last at most 3 days.

You have fun, stay young and keep well, best regards, Lee.

Zendra,
Happy New Year! Not too late I hope.
The first 5 I think suit me fine, quite relevant to me. But the second group tu susah bukan sikit but banyak. Kat mana nak buang all the clutters ( old goat aside) in your life? Trying to but never seem to end, maybe one day...
Salam

Zendra,

,,,congratulations again on your 'gambaru' spirit (jap;-gahm-bah-ruu) meaning to pesevere, never give-up, never say die, do one's best. It would no doubt benefit many other people to develop some of the extraordinary spirit of gambaru-ism. hahaha.

Zen, retirement is not in my vocab. I’m either in my 2nd childhood or had never ever grew up…hehehe. I’ll delay stage 7 for as long as I can;

"All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms;
And then the whining school-boy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths, and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon's mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon lin'd,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slipper'd pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side;
His youthful hose, well sav'd, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank; and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion;
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything."

Hey Zee, u remembered Slade that rock UK in the 70s? Well this is their version of All the world is a stage;

You are the eyes of the reader
I am the hand of the writer
Together we can fill up a page
You are the ears of the listener
I am the voice of the picture
Together we can act out the age.

All the world is a stage all the people are players,
Turn on the spotlight it's yours.
All the world is a stage, all the people are players,
Ring up the curtain Applause one thing's for certain, it's yours !

You are the sense of occasion
Mine is a standing ovation
Your pleasure is only at your command
You are to set the example
I am the one to portray it
To measure the storm that follows the calm.

You are the eyes of the reader
I am the hand of the writer
Together we can fill up a page
You are the brain of the thinker
I am the fave of expression
Together we can act out the age.

The start and end to every story is the same
But what comes in between you have yourself to blame:
It makes no difference at all
Just pick yourself when you fall
So ring up the certain - applause.

Feeling old lah, your sentimental friend ;(

Dear Lee, nice of you to stop by. The beach in my current blog header pic is at Cherating taken on a windy December morning.

Absolutely, I'm with you, retirees should simply retire. Better to play with new technology gadgets than succumbing to black forests hahaha.

Keep warm Lee and have a splendid year ahead.

Zendra-Maria said...

NanaDJ, I know what you mean. I try to maintain a minimalist home but clutter creeps in anyway. But its ok just be happy with the clutter now, it can as and when the fancy comes ;)

So what stage are you in then?

And no youtube link for the Slade song kah? The lyrics are good lah. But not very familiar, maybe when I hear it, it will come back.
